LilaGirl and her Tricky Tricks

Capturing your baby on camera as she is standing unassisted for the first time is a tricky endeavor.

Sometimes she falls, right when you go to shoot...

Sometimes she sees your nifty camera strap, hits the dirt and takes after it before you even have a chance to focus the lens...

And sometimes, you (whoops!) don't even have her in the frame.

But then you figure out to distract her by putting with Dancing with the Stars on TV, wait until she's entranced by the music and sparkly outfits, and shoot away.

I tried to do it again, but she's on to me now!
